WE are delighted to announce we have won the Youth Development Award at the national Community Sport and Recreation Awards 2023, held at Twickenham.
The Community Sport and Recreation Awards is a nationally-recognised awards programme organised by the Sport and Recreation Alliance and we were on a shortlist of three, nominated for the Youth Development Award for our work on our Premier League programmes – Kicks, Primary Stars, Inspires and Targeted – over the last year.
The awards were presented by the Sport and Recreation Alliance’s President, HRH The Earl of Wessex, and as well as the award, we received £1,000.
“Congratulations to all the nominees, they all deserved to be there,” said Head of MFC Foundation Lynsey Edwards.
“This is a great honour and we’re humbled. We’re proud of what we do in those programmes which are delivered by enthusiastic and inspirational staff who want the best for the participants. They’re thrilled by this, we all are.”
The Sport and Recreation Alliance’s Community Sport and Recreation Awards have been running for over 25 years, and are an annual celebration of grassroots clubs, organisations and individuals.
The awards celebrate the full breadth of sport and recreation.
