Roary’s Big Week

NEXT week is a big week for Roary as we continue to spread the word about the work of MFC Foundation and hopefully raise a few pounds along the way.

Yesterday Roary went on a tour of Teesside which took him from Billingham to Skelton.

Throughout the coming week, the Central Library, the water fountains outside the Town Hall, the Town Hall itself and the Newport Bridge, will, from time to time, be lit in red.

On Monday and Tuesday there is a Boro exhibition on display in the planning rooms at Joslin Rhodes on Preston Farm Industrial Estate. The event on from 6 until 8 each evening, with special guests in attendance on Monday (17th).

AM Recruitment are hosting a networking coffee morning at their Grange Business Centre headquarters on Belasis Avenue in Billingham on Tuesday from 9 until 11, then on Wednesday a group of intrepid souls are cycling from Hull City’s MKM Stadium to the Riverside, arriving in time for the 8pm kick-off between the two teams.

The route is around 100 miles and each of the riders has been sponsored.

Earlier that afternoon there is a Walking Football Tournament and bucket collection at our Herlingshaw Centre.

Two days later, on Friday 21st, several schools around the region have agreed to allow their pupils to dress in red, while the annual Middlesbrough College Business 5-a-side tournament takes place on the external all-weather pitches at the college’s complex, each team having paid an entry fee to take part.

All funds raised across the week will help us continue our work across the communities of Teesside, for the young in age and young at heart.

If you, as a business or an individual, would like to play a part, large or small, we would be very grateful. E-mail either Alan or Paul at alan.geddes@mfcfoundation.co.uk and paul.murphy@mfcfoundation.co.uk
