Roary’s Big Week Is Back And We’re Turning Teesside Red

It is Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation’s biggest awareness and fundraising event of the year.

Running for seven days from Easter Monday, April 1, Roary’s Big Week will see businesses and individuals help turn Teesside Red with a series of fun and innovative initiatives.

Close on 50 businesses have pledged their support, ranging from wearing red in the workplace to designer cocktails and a bespoke parmo.

For example, Al Forno’s restaurant in Ingleby Barwick have created a Pepper-Roary Parmo, with all profits donated to the Foundation, while Luna Blue in Yarm have created two cocktails, the 1876 and a non-alcoholic The Little Fella.

On Friday, April 5th Headquarters Barbers and Beverages are offering haircuts for just £5, though to get one at that price you must be wearing red, while Project Escape in Middlesbrough have created a Boro-themed tunnel which will be in operation until the end of April, while Afro Kings barbers will make a donation for every haircut that day.

Selected buildings, such as Middlesbrough Town Hall, the Central Library, Dorman Museum, the Zetland Car Park, Centre Square and St. Hilda’s Bells, while The Glove Theatre in Stockton are lighting in internally as they show their support.

There will be bucket collections at the Boro games against Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea, allowing fans to contribute to a Foundation which cares for their communities.
