Our NCS courses are once again proving popular with youngsters taking to the contours of Coniston, the testing waters of the Tees and experiencing the exhilarating experience of Northumberland.
The National Citizen Service is a government programme for young people aged between 15 and 17. It gives youngsters a chance to find their identity, take control of their lives and channel energy into making a real difference to their local community.
It is about challenges, living as a team away from home at an outdoor activity centre, improve life skills such as communication, leadership and self-confidence.
There is an opportunity to create a social action project, to plan, fund raise and have the power to make a real change to a local community by delivering a project.
Once a four-week course has been completed, participants can continue with social action projects or choose to help shape future participants programmes, the possibilities for volunteering and involvement are endless.
