SET up by the FA’s National Youth Council in association with MFC Foundation and the North Riding County FA, an initiative called Your Game was an acclaimed success at our Herlingshaw Centre.
In the first of it’s kind in the country, spread over two days the event brought together over 60 young people with an age range of 14-24 who were looking for ideas for a future in football other than as a player.
MFC Foundation were joined by Middlesbrough Football Club, the FA’s Youth Leadership, Coach Core, the North Riding County FA and Teesside University in showcasing the many avenues open to young people.
Held in a carousel format, each organisation explained to individual groups how they worked, offering insights and ideas not often in the public eye.
There were practical workshops too, as coaching, refereeing and sports science kept everyone active.
