MFC Foundation are delighted to announce a partnership with a fundraising platform designed to enable fans to raise money through everyday shopping.
Fantastic Fanatics have developed an innovative and secure online and in-store platform that delivers a new revenue stream to sports clubs, trusts and governing bodies.
MFC Foundation will receive funds whenever anyone shops, eats out, book hotels and more. With no cost to clubs, organisations or supporters, the platform simply generates funds when members buy the things they are already buying at affiliated retailers.
Supporters need to register with Fantastic Fanatics and choose MFC Foundation as a beneficiary. They can then securely register their debit or credit card, and purchases made online will raise money for the charitable arm of the football club.
Those who register are automatically entered into cash prize draws. The more money they raise, the more chance they have winning.
Retailers taking part include many major online stores including Boots, B&Q, Curry’s PC World, JD Sports, John Lewis, Clarks, and Sky. Soon in-store purchases will also be supported in the north east, further increasing the flexibility to support the Foundation.
Fundraising and Events Coordinator at MFC Foundation, Alan Geddes said:
“We are delighted to partner with Fantastic Fanatics. This partnership could raise significant funds for us here at the Foundation and help us to keep delivering to the good people of Teesside.” He continued “In this region, perhaps more than many others, we appreciate how difficult things are for communities, not just football, currently. This method of generating funds for the Foundation does not cost the supporters anything and will allow us to benefit from purchases they would be making anyway.”
Fantastic Fanatics Operations Director, Barry Munro said:
“We are delighted to have such a well-respected an impactful Foundation as Middlesbrough Football Club onboard. We are pleased to play a part in helping raise funds to help meet their goals and objectives. Hopefully Fantastic Fanatics can generate substantial funds for the Foundation, supporting thee many projects they have ongoing in their community.” He continued: “The technology behind Fantastic Fanatics makes things so simple for the supporter, as they can choose the association or club they want to support, make a purchase at one of their favourite online retailers and generate a commission, all with a few clicks of the mouse. Our in store offering means registered retailers will automatically send a percentage of the bill to the recipient of their choice – there is no extra card or app required. It’s business as usual at the point of sale for the consumer and the retailer. “Ultimately, Fantastic Fanatics enables sports clubs and organisations to worry less about the finances and get on with what they do best – delivering the benefits of their organisation to their communities, participants, fans and members.”
