History Made At Our Annual Golf Day

WE were blessed with blue skies, a fair wind and a little bit of history as our annual golf day sponsored by Doornbos was played out at Romanby Golf Club.

History was made as two hole in ones – at different holes – were were recorded in the same tournament for the first time ever on the course. Congratulations to Lisa Patton (11th hole) from Eaglescliffe Golf Club Ladies team and John Kieran (15th hole) from Applebridge.

Congratulations also to the winning team, Close Protection Security, the team representing Middlesbrough FC who finished second and Middlesbrough College who finished third.

A huge “thank you” to everyone at Romanby Golf Club for their help in organising the event and for their gracious hospitality, to Doornbos for their generous sponsorship and to leading photographer Tom Banks who once again captured the essence of the day. Very much appreciated by the organising team from us here at MFC Foundation.

Many thanks to every participant from every one of the 21 teams that took part in the tournament, you helped make it the success it was, and to everyone who bid for an item in the auction.

The money raised on the day will help us continue to work within our communities, your communities, often helping some of the people who are hardest to reach.

We cross the ages with the work we do, from two to 102 (and probably older, but we don’t ask).

Thank you to everyone who supports what we do.
