Here’s A Chance To Represent MFC Foundation In A National Tournament

Was it really a week ago already since the Lionesses were in action at the Riverside. Time flies.

There has been a greatly-increased focus on women’s football in recent months. All eyes were on the Riverside last weekend when England Women took on Brazil in front of the biggest crowd for a women’s international outside of Wembley.

Prior to that game there was a hugely popular programme at the Herlingshaw, where over 80% of the participants were girls – photo gallery below.

Continuing this theme, we are offering schools within the area the chance to enter a competition, the winners of which will represent the Foundation in a national competition.

Each season the EFL organises two competitions (Kids Cup and Girls Cup) for junior footballers from schools across the country.

The EFL Girls Cup comprises of a six-a-side competition for U13 girls that culminates in a grand final prior to the EFL Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium in April.

We are hosting a qualifying round on Wednesday 6th November from 1-3pm.  The winners of this competition will then go on to represent MFC Foundation at the area finals in January along with nine other clubs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to enter your school into a national competition and represent MFC Foundation.

The deadline for entries is Wednesday October 23rd.
