IT didn’t go Boro’s way on the field at Huddersfield on Saturday April 1st, that’s football, it happens. However prior to the game everyone was a winner as the Foundations of Huddersfield and Middlesbrough came together in a celebration of the Premier League sponsored programme PL Kicks.
Young people from both Foundations took part in game at the Terrier’s Leeds Road complex, just over a mile away from the John Smiths Stadium, after which they went to the game together.
Towards the end of the event, the teams were mixed with players swopping sides and playing with those who were previous opponents and against some who were previously teammates.
Played a great spirit, competitive but in the right way, the event was a credit to both Foundations and we would like to thank Huddersfield Town Foundation for their their hosting and hospitality.
