MFC Foundation joined forces with the Michael Carrick Foundation when the Boot Room programme was introduced to Teesside.
Using Teesside University Campus as the base, the Boro manager gave away football boots to participants of one of our inclusive football programmes as part of the EFL’s Week of Action, before conducting interviews with the EFL, Football Focus, SKY and the Daily Mail ahead of Sunday’s game with Sunderland.
The Boot Room helps youngsters who are frequently from underprivileged backgrounds own a pair of football boots, often for the first time.
