THE challenge was set and how schools in Teesside responded.
We asked schoolchildren throughout the area to design a flag ahead of the Arnold Clark Cup games at the Riverside, with the winning entry being displayed ahead of the England v Canada match.
The quality of entry was great testimony to the young talent we have on Teesside and it was difficult to pick a winner.
That accolade went to Lola, a Y3 pupil at Hemlington Hall Academy. Not only will her flag be shown ahead of the game, she won tickets for her entire class, teachers and parents for the game.
Well done Lola and well done everyone who took the time to create and submit an entry.
