Our staff have been busy throughout the North East after answering a call for help from Community Integrated Care.
Spanning a reach from Middlesbrough to Northumberland, a dozen volunteers, plus three furloughed staff from Middlesbrough FC, delivered 122 boxes to carers on behalf of CIC, a national social care charity.
Each box contained around 40 items that were a ‘thank you’ to staff for their hard work during the crisis.
Some CIC staff have moved in with residents to support during this period, an amazing and selfless commitment to the people they look after.
One volunteer who didn’t want to be named (it’s not about me) said: “I honesty had the best day volunteering for MFC Foundation. It was very, very rewarding giving out parcels to staff across the North East for the amazing jobs they are doing.”
