Christmas Party With Added Enjoyment

THIS year we are happy to have been able to help fund a tea dance once a month at Senses Wellbeing in Skelton.

It brings together people living with dementia, alongside with those with additional needs of a different kind.

There’s always something different at these events and the Christmas special was no different as a packed house was entertained by pupils from Skelton Primary School who worked their way through a range of Christmas songs, both old and new.

There was food, a huge raffle and two presentations as the Captain of Saltburn Golf Club presented Senses with a cheque for £2,130, while Brotton-born ex-Boro player Derek McLean was given a framed shirt to commemorate his 90th birthday. Organised by the Foundation’s Alan Geddes, the shirt was presented by Derek’s former teammate Alan Peacock.

The confirmed dates for next year’s tea dances are all Fridays; January 20th, February 17th, March 24th, April 21st, May 19th and June 23rd.
