MFC Foundation are grateful for a double donation from Advantex.
One made a difference to the lives of eight Boro fans in the short term; the other will allow us to continue our work in our communities.
Gateshead-based, the network solutions specialist look upon the North East as one big family and are one of Boro’s sponsors.
As such, they are awarded a framed Boro shirt with their name on the back and they have donated this to the Foundation. They also donated eight tickets for the sell-out game against Coventry last Monday which were distributed among schools on Teesside.
Commenting on the gesture, Tony Patterson, Business Development Manager, Advantex, said: “We are delighted to support the efforts of Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation and the great work they do in creating local opportunities for aspiring young people and adults.
“We believe that sport has the power to create a brighter future and we are proud to be part of the journey.”
We will raffle the unique shirt and use the money raised to support initiatives such as our dementia programme and free football sessions for girls at our Herlingshaw Centre, sessions which in the past have reached over 100 participants, offering them a chance of something they wouldn’t ordinarily have access to.
