IT was a fantastic afternoon which will live long in the memory of everyone who was there.
Our Herlingshaw Centre was the venue for our Community Christmas party – generously sponsored by Teesside Park – who are owned by British Land, and on a day when the Boro squad were out in force across the area, Matt Clarke, Hayden Hackney, Alex Mowatt and Duncan Watmore joined in the fun with us – they didn’t hold back.
The pictures below tell the story. Activities ranged from a bouncy castle to a giant inflatable slide. Santa’s Grotto (with Santa of course) was popular throughout, while there were games of football with a soft ball, tennis (another soft ball game), volleyball and table tennis, just out of range from an excellent face painter.
Glitter mixed with glue, stickers and reindeer dust, Jenga and Connect 4 were popular, so too the Boro Bus and of course Roary.
The Christmas Chronicles was showing for those who wanted to sit still just for a little bit, taking a break from games like one-handed cup stacking and get the shuttlecock into the cup.
Musical entertainment came from the excellent Jamie Tinkler.
Food and drink was provided and hundreds of photos taken.
But the most important part of the day was the constant smile on so many faces.
