OVER the Easter holidays, we are running two free PL Kicks events aimed at getting more girls engaging with football.
Tuesday 4th April 2023: 2v2 Festival
10am – 12 noon there is a U9&10 (school year 4&5) session then from 1pm-3pm a U11&12 (school year 6&7) session.
The festivals aim to give the girls the opportunity to participate in a safe, relaxed and fun environment, while benefiting them technically through allowing more touches and time with the ball.
The festivals will be supported by Foundation staff, taking away the need for coaches and parents to be present throughout. Adults can sign their child up with a friend to make a pair or as a single player to be paired on the day by emailing marshall.dixon@mfcfoundation.co.uk
Tuesday 11th April: 5v5 Tournament
10am-12 noon we have a girls’ tournament for U13 to U15 (school year 8-10).
This tournament is all about empowering female leadership, with the girls being responsible for naming, managing and coaching their team themselves with support from Foundation staff. The tournament will be played on a 5v5 pitch with four mini-goals, removing the necessity of having a goalkeeper.
