Over the past few weeks David Mohan, a keen Boro fan and supporter of MFC Foundation, has organised the Big Teesside Fundraiser.
This was a series of raffles/blind cards/bonus balls and an auction raising much needed funds for us.
The raffle took place on the evening of Saturday December 5th 2020 following Boro’s away fixture versus Stoke City. To date David has managed to raise over £1,200.
A lifetime Boro fan who wanted to put something back into the community during these difficult times, David said: “I decided to set up this raffle and auction to help MFC Foundation give back to the community, allowing children and families to have meals during these hard times.
“I have done fund-raising in the past for the Foundation as I know every penny goes straight back into the community.
“I also take part in #FitBoro, a free fitness course run by the foundation, so it’s good to give them something back as a ‘thank you’.
“I reached out to ex-players and local celebrities with my idea and I’m really grateful to those who came back. Their items are included in this auction.”
The culmination of The Big Teesside Fundraiser is an online auction.
Over the past few months, David has secured several Boro-themed prizes as well as some money can’t buy items.
MFC Foundation added to these and we are now in a position to launch this online auction to help raise much needed funds during this continuing pandemic.
