Premier League Primary Stars uses the appeal of the Premier League to inspire children to learn, be active and develop important life skills.

Available to every primary school in England and Wales, it inspires girls and boys aged 5-11 in the classroom, the playground and on the sports field.

Teaching materials cover subjects from English and Maths to teamwork and PE, with free-to-download activity ideas, worksheets, lesson plans, fun assemblies and exclusive videos.

Learning is connected to the real world of sport to enthuse pupils when tackling challenging Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) topics such as resilience, diversity, self-esteem and fair play.

Professional football club staff work with teachers to deliver fun, educational sessions in a range of subjects within local partner schools.

Premier League Primary Stars objectives

Through Premier League Primary Stars, the Premier League and professional football clubs will:

  • Provide opportunities for children to take part in more football, sport, and physical activity
  • Provide high-quality support to teachers with planning and delivery of PE, sport, and active classroom learning
  • Give children in the areas of most need the tools to achieve their best
  • Increase children's confidence and engagement in PSHE, English and Maths
  • Increase engagement, and awareness of football's positive impact in school and beyond

Online resources

Premier League Primary Stars supports teachers in building their pupils' confidence in key areas, including PSHE, physical education, maths and English. Resources are created in collaboration with subject experts such as the National Literacy Trust.

It is also available as a free series of more than 650 curriculum-linked downloadable resources, developed by teachers for teachers, for every primary school in England and Wales.
