Generosity from Boro fans allied with commitment from a group of Premier League Kicks participants helped bring smiles to the faces of children in Ward 22 of James Cook University Hospital.
A collection ahead of Boro’s home game against Stoke City saw toys, toiletries, colouring books, pens, pencils and much more donated to MFC Foundation to be used as part of a social action initiative.
The beneficiaries were children who were unfortunate enough to be in hospital and in need of cheering up at what is a difficult time for them and their families.
The group from one of the Foundation’s Premier League Kicks sessions, some not that much older than the hospitalised youngsters, made hampers with the donations and distributed them throughout the ward.
