We were honoured and delighted to have won the Health Award in the Organisational Award category at the Tees Valley EDI Awards on Friday night.
Congratulations to our Health and Wellbeing team, to former team member Lee Harding and to the runners-up in our category, Pioneering Care Partnership and Moonrise 24hr Recruitment.
Held at Kirkleatham Walled Garden, the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Awards 2024 (formerly known as the BME Awards), were held in partnership with Tees Valley Combined Authority.
In consideration for the Health Award, this prestigious event recognised our Boro Health Bus’ provision of free health checks, which serves Middlesbrough mosques and Newport Community Hub as part of our work within the local community.
The awards are designed to recognise and celebrate the contributions made by black and minoritised ethnic communities, which are invaluable to the economic, social and cultural development of the North East.
“It’s fantastic to be recognised for the work that we do, especially helping those under-served communities,” said the Foundation’s Health and Wellbeing Manager Paul South.
“Tackling health inequalities in Middlesbrough is a key strategic objective for the Foundation and we’re delighted that we can play a part in addressing this in our local area.”
