We were once again indebted to the hospitality of Rockliffe Hall Resort and Spa for an incredible MFC Foundation Golf Day.

The annual showpiece event has become a staple for the Foundation, helping to raise vital funds and continue our life-changing work across the Tees Valley.

As always, fourball teams consisting of local businesses, supporters of the Foundation and ex-Boro players Neil Cox, Tony McMahon and Neil Maddison, together with former Boro coaches Graeme Lee and Jonathan Woodgate, made for an extremely enjoyable event, based at one of Europe's premier golfing venues.

There was, of course, a competitive element to proceedings, but much of the day was spent in the knowledge that the golfers' presence was making a genuine impact on the local community.

Using the Stableford scoring system, which involves scoring points based on the number of strokes taken at each hole, Close Protection Security - Glenn Bartlett, Shaun Woods, Matty Carlin and Brian Cole - ran out winners with 110 points.

Individual awards were claimed by Tom Hustwitt, for the longest drive on hole 16, Rob Moncur for the nearest to the pin on hole 5 and Brendon Jackson, for nearest to the pin in two on hole 18.

Back in the clubhouse, attendees enjoyed a fabulous two-course meal provided by the catering staff at Rockliffe, and the day came to its conclusion with a live raffle and auction; Mandy Davies from Nanny Bears Day Care Centre priced herself above the competition to take home a 2024/2025 shirt signed by new Boro manager Rob Edwards as well as an extremely rare blank No More Red shirt.

Thank you to everyone who kindly attended. Please find below our photo gallery of the event.
