Five teams from across the Tees Valley competed at Middlesbrough College for the local bragging rights with Herlingshaw, Skelton, Loftus and another Teesside University team also in attendance.
The Foundation are one of several local institutions helping spread awareness of anti-knife crime and the day started with a three-station workshop on anti-knife crime, as participants learnt the sobering consequences of handling a blade; attendees were also taught how to bandage a wound correctly and even how to operate a tourniquet should the need arise.
After the workshop, football was firmly on the agenda and a 4-0 win over Herlingshaw was enough for Teesside University to claim the trophy, on a day where fun and learning combined.
