As you may be aware Middlesbrough Football Club is 150 years old this year, but you may not be aware that the Foundation is celebrating its 30-year anniversary in 2026.

In that time we have supported hundreds of thousands of Teesside residents through our Health and Wellbeing, Social Inclusion and Education and Employability projects.

To celebrate these anniversaries, we are launching The 1876 Club, effectively a relaunch of our Individual Friend of the Foundation scheme, a change we feel better reflects the role communities play in building the Club and Foundation while celebrating this important year.

On joining, you will receive a pin badge and certificate. The red badge represents the club colours with the silver text symbolising the steel industry on which the town was built. The 1876 logo celebrates the history of the club and the vital link with the Foundation is emphasised in the text.

As a member of the 1876 club, you will receive a newsletter by email every two months and be entered into a member’s only prize draw every quarter with a chance to win a piece of MFC memorabilia.
