MFC Foundation are accepting applications for the role of Volunteer Coordinator on a full-time basis, totalling 38 hours per week.

Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation (MFCF) is the Club’s independent charity set up in 1996 by Chairman Steve Gibson. We use the power of the MFC brand to engage with the community to provide opportunities for disadvantaged young people and adults to maximise their potential to achieve.

MFC Foundation has recently been awarded funds from the PL/PFA fund to employ a Volunteer Coordinator to implement a consistent and quality assured volunteering programme across our work.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to be involved in a growing and passionate team based within a professional football club charity. You will be responsible for recruiting, supporting, developing and retaining a bank of volunteers to support all aspects of our service delivery.

You will be crucial in the design and implementation of a coordinated and robust volunteer offer that is attractive to a range of audiences and standardised across our business.

We are looking for a diligent, organised and professional individual with knowledge of the voluntary sector. The successful candidate will have exemplary communication skills and will be able to work with a range of different people.

While sport and physical activity will be central to the role, strong third sector knowledge and people skills are essential.

This post falls within the scope of ‘regulated activity’ and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974). Successful applicants will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service (formerly CRB) check and are required to declare any convictions, cautions, reprimands and final warnings that are not ‘protected’ as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exemptions) Act 1975.
